Minister of Health KOCA announces Turkey’s corona virus data for August 28
Health Minister Fahrettin KOCA has announced the latest data on the corona virus outbreak in Turkey. Based on related chart for August 28 the loss of lives reached 6,245, with 36 people who lost their lives in the last 24 hours. Today, 517 new cases have been identified, and the total number of cases has increased to 265,515.
The Minister said, “The number of active patients and the number of seriously ill continues to increase”. We lost another 36 lives today.”
Yesterday, the Health Ministry had announced 491 newly identified cases and 26 deaths. Also 995 patients had recovered.
It seems we might have a bit difficulty to keep our optimism under the light of new data coming recently. It is not a big statement to say “measures should urgently be reviewed” and SERIOUSLY upgraded. One thing is for sure: We won’t be able to challenge the epidemic with optimism only – as some have the tendency to think.
