Minister of Industry and Technology: We will lay the foundations of Turkey’s first battery factory

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said, “God willing, our President will visit Bursa and Gemlik on the 24th of the month. We will lay the foundation for another very important investment of Turkey. We will lay the foundations of Turkey’s first battery factory. This technology will give Turkey important capabilities.” said.

On the question about the battery factory investment in the Gemlik district of Bursa, the Minister also noted the following:

“I hope our President will visit Bursa and Gemlik on the 24th. We will lay the foundation for another very important investment forTurkey. We will start another engagement of the Turkish Century. We will lay the foundations of Turkey’s first battery factory. Turkey’s Automobile Enterprise Group and a foreign partner will come together. They are establishing Turkey’s first battery factory. This technology will give Turkey important capabilities. It will make significant contributions to the economy of our country. It will also have an important return to Bursa and Turkey in terms of employment. We are aware that the key to value-added production and value-added development in Turkey is through such investments.
