Minister of transport and infrastructure says Turkey and Russia agree to start flights

Adil KARAISMAILOGLU, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure has made a statement saying, “As of today, we have agreed with Russia to launch flights.” Experts note that the news is quite encouraging for the tourism industry. On the other hand Russia ranks 4th on the list of countries that have seen the highest number of cases of corona virus in the world.

Transport Minister KARAISMAILOGLU said that the Russian Federation and Turkey have agreed on resumption of flights abroad with Russia as of today.

The Minister reminded that after the cessation of international flights within the framework of the corona virus measure, international flights had been re-started with 31 countries, as of June 11. The Minister said, As of today, we have agreed with Russia to launch flights.”

After the international flights were launched with 31 countries as of June 11, negotiations to start flights with 20 countries were continuing. After Russia is included in this group of 31 countries, the number of countries whose flights abroad have been resumed has increased to 32.
