Minister Yumaklı Announces Record-Breaking Agricultural Output: Turkey Ranks Among Top 7 Globally

Turkey has achieved a major milestone in agricultural production. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that the country’s agricultural output reached a record $74 billion in 2024 — a 7% increase compared to the previous year. This growth places Turkey among the top 7 countries in the world in terms of agricultural production.

Sharing the news on his social media account, Minister Yumaklı stated:
“According to World Bank data, Turkey’s agricultural output rose from $68.9 billion in 2023 to $74 billion in 2024 — a 7% increase. With this, Turkey has secured its place among the world’s top 7 countries in agricultural production.”

“Turkey surpasses the $70 billion mark for the first time”

Minister Yumaklı highlighted the significance of the achievement, saying:
“Our country has surpassed the $70 billion threshold for the first time. I congratulate all our farmers and agricultural industry workers who contributed to this success. Together, we will continue to achieve even greater milestones.”

This announcement marks a significant moment for Turkey’s agricultural sector, reflecting both growing productivity and the strong role of domestic producers in the global market.
