Ministry announces “Normalization Circular” effective from May 17th

ELDERLY PEOPLE ALLOWED DURING PANDEMY

The Interior Ministry has sent a circular to the governorates on “gradual normalization measures”. according to the circular, from 05:00 on Monday 17 to 05:000 on Tuesday June 1, measures for a period of gradual normalization will be implemented.

During this period curfew restrictions will be applied from 21.00 to 05.00  from Monday to Friday and from 21:00 on Friday to 05:00 on Monday, at weekends.

During the period of gradual normalization, there will be no curfew restrictions for those aged 65 and over who have had two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and for those under the age of 18 during allowed hours/time (that is 05-21:00 during week days)

DETAILS REGARDING NEW MEASURES

According to the circular measures for a period of gradual normalization will be implemented  from 05:00 on Monday May 17 to  05:00 on Tuesday June 1.

– During said period, curfew restrictions will be applied from 21.00 on Friday to 05:00 on Monday and from 21:00 on Friday to 05:00 on Monday at weeends.

– During the period of gradual normalization, there will be no curfew restrictions for those who have received two doses of the Kovid-19 vaccine from citizens aged 65 and over, and for those under the age of 18.

– During the period of gradual normalization, intercity travel will be free during the period and days when curfew restrictions are not applied.

Conditions to be considered force-majeure

– Those who are discharged from the hospital where they were being treated and want to return to their original residences, who have a doctor’s report and/or who have previously received a doctor’s appointment/check-up,

– Those who will accompany a first-degree relative or brother who is being treated in hospital (no more than 2 people),

– Those who have arrived in the city in the last 5 days, but do not have a place to stay, who want to return to the settlements where they reside (provided they can prove they arrived in last 5 days with travel ticket, vehicle license plate, other document showing the trip, those who present it with said information)

– Those who will participate in the central exams announced by the OSYM,

– Those who want to return to the settlements after completing their military service,

– Those with Invitation letter from private or public to a scheduled contract,

– Individuals released from prisons will be considered mandatory.

-During the gradual normalization period, eating and drinking places will serve as a take-away and delivery service between 07.00-20.00 on weekdays, and only as a takeaway between 20.00-24.00.

– Coffee shops, tea gardens, cinema halls, football fields, internet cafes, swimming pools and gyms will continue to be closed during said period

-During the period of gradual normalization, shopping centers will be able to operate between 10.00-20.00 on weekdays and will be closed on weekends.

– On Saturdays and Sundays with full-day curfew, grocery stores, greengrocers, butchers and confectioners (kuruyemisçi) will be able to operate between the hours of 10.00-17.00 and citizens will be allowed to go to the nearest convenience stores, grocery stores, greengrocers, butchers etc. on foot (except for citizens with disabilities)

-During this period, market places (pazar yerleri) will be open between 07.00-19.00 during the week only

-During the period of gradual normalization, flexible working procedures will continue to be applied in public institutions and organizations, working hours will be applied as 10.00-16.00.

– During this period, nurseries and kindergartens will be able to continue their activities.

– During the period of gradual normalization, marriage procedures can be performed, weddings in the form of nuptials and wedding ceremonies, as well as events such as engagement and henna will not be organized.

– During the period of gradual normalization, the restriction of visitors in places such as nursing homes, nursing homes for the elderly, rehabilitation centers and children’s homes will last until June 1.

– During the period of gradual normalization, citizens aged 65 and over and those under the age of 18 will not be allowed to use public transport in the city.
