TURKEY REMOVES PCR TEST FOR 14 COUNTRIES

PCR test requirement for passengers coming from Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Luxembourg, Ukraine and Estonia, as part of the corona epidemic measures was lifted by Turkey. Israel, whose name was previously in the list, was removed.

As part of the corona virus measures, it had been announced that the PCR test requirement applied to all countries when entering Turkey would not apply to passengers from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Israel, Japan, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Luxembourg, Ukraine and Estonia from May 15.

In this context, as of today, the PCR test application was put into operation for passengers from the specified countries.

In the notam published by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on the subject, it said “As of 14 May 2021 UTC 21.00 – local time in Turkey on 15 May 00.00 hours – passengers coming from Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Luxembourg, Ukraine and Estonia will not be asked to present PCR test results.”

ISRAEL REMOVED FROM LIST

On the other hand, Israel was also on the list mentioned earlier, while the latest update saw changes. Israel was not included in the new list published.
