MINIMUM WAGE IN TURKEY

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has made the following statement; The results of the research initiated within the Scope of the Studies to Determine the Minimum Wage that will be valid in 2023 has been found as follows:  “The common expectation of the public opinion formed by citizens from various professions who are not employees or employers for the minimum wage of the year 2023 was 7 thousand 845 liras.”

Within the scope of the studies to determine the minimum wage that would be valid in 2023, both the employee and employer segments were reached within the scope of the research initiated by the Ministry and carried out by an academic staff throughout Turkey. In the study conducted throughout Turkey, 50 percent of the participants were women and 50 percent were men. 18.1 percent of the participants who have received primary school and below, 18.1 percent secondary / primary education, 37.3 percent high school and equivalent, and 26.5 percent of the participants who have received higher education and above, 33.8 percent work as workers in the private sector.
