New decision on Russian airline companies from the UK

The UK, which has taken the most hawkish stance on sanctions against Russia, has now frozen the assets of Russian airline companies.

According to the information obtained, the UK prevented Russian airlines companies Aeroflot, Rossiya Airlines and Ural Airlines from transferring their slots in this country. It was learned that the amount of the blocked slot was 50 million pounds ($ 62 million).

The UK had previously closed its airspace to Russian civilian aircraft, imposed a flight ban on Russian airlines, and also confiscated the private jets of some Russian businessmen.

Russian airline companies cannot sell slots that they cannot use due to the flight ban.
