New record in gold prices: Gram gold price exceeds 1000 TL

Gold price has broken a record in the morning due to the impact of the new peak in the dollar / TL. The price of gram gold has exceeded 1000 TL. Gold prices started the first trading day of the week with a new record. After the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey lowered its policy interest rate by 100 points to 14 percent last week, the Turkish lira fell to a historic low in the morning after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s speech on interest rates last night.

Last night (December 19) Erdogan said,”We are lowering interest rates. Don’t expect anything else from me. As a Muslim, I will continue to do what Islamic provision requires. That’s the verdict.”

GOLD PRICE EXCEEDS 1000 TL

Following these developments, gold prices in the Grand Bazaar reached TL 1010 in the morning. After that, it partially retreated and fell below 1000 TL. Gram gold was traded at 986 TL, quarter gold was traded at 1583 TL buying and 1739 TL selling prices. Cumhuriyet gold was traded at TL 6513 and TL 7030 respectively.
