Not good news from the new survey to administration: Vote share of ruling bloc has fallen to lowest level in last 12 months

According to the Turkey Monitor survey conducted weekly by Aksoy Research, vote share of ruling Republic Alliance was observed to have fallen to 38 percent, the lowest level in the last 12 months. According to the poll, the opposition was found to be outperforming the ruling bloc with 42.5 percent. On the other hand, 62.5 percent of AKP voters said “too high” or “high” for the current level of the dollar.

January 3, results of the Turkey Monitor survey prepared by Aksoy Research, which measures the voter’s pulse were shared. Among the most important findings that attracted attention in the study, the voting rates of the parties were included.

AK Party which achieved the highest vote share of 2021 with 36.0 in February, was observed to have lost 5.4 percentage points of the vote by July 2021. AKP vote share, which continued horizontally after July, increased to 31.2 in the 3rd week of December, but showed a downward trend again in the following months, falling to 30.1. This was the lowest vote share received by the AKP in the last year.

THE RISE OF THE CHP AND THE OPPOSITION

In contrast to the decline in the AKP, the rise in the CHP prevailed in similar months. CHP achieved its lowest vote share with 24.1 percentage points in March 2021 and managed to increase its vote share by 4.1 percentage points by July.

It was noted that the difference in points between the CHP and the AKP, was seen to be the lowest in the last year. The difference in the last week’s study was 1.2 percent.
