OPPOSITION BLOC IN TURKEY AND ELECTIONS

The opposition group, headed by the CHP and the GOOD Party, has now begun to thoroughly shape its plans for the upcoming election and the aftermath. The 6-party opposition group has more or less shaped what they will do both politically and primarily on economic issues if they come to power.

Within this framework, the CHP leader insists that the 2 most important priority steps in the event of coming to power will be to strictly ensure the independence of the Central Bank and reactivate the Strategic Planning Organization again. CHP leader believes that the main issue of Turkey is a matter of trust in the administration. When this is achieved, the economic indicators will be quickly balanced and the country will swiftly start its journey to get back on the right track again.

CHP leader also says, improvements must certainly be made and wounds must be treated urgently with regard to the injustices committed in the field of justice and the reforms that need to be made in these institutions, as well as democratic issues such as freedom of thought and speech.

As the country goes through an extremely difficult period on issues such as depreciation of TL, very high inflation and therefore the worsened welfare of citizens, the opposition bloc seems to be ahead of the ruling bloc for the first time in the last 20 years in terms of the chances of the next election, judging by the results of latest election surveys.

Also, according to serious and reliable opinion polls for the presidential election, at least 2 or 3 opposition candidates seem to be seriously ahead of the current President.

To recap, it is expected Turkey will go through very important developments in 2022 and a possible (according to experts) election, to be most important.
