The Turkish Statistical Institute announces December 2021 inflation as 13.58 percent

TUIK INFLATION IN DECEMBER

The consumer inflation figure for December 2021, which the whole of Turkey had been eagerly and carefully waiting for, was announced by Turkstat (TUIK). Accordingly, in December 2021, consumer inflation in Turkey was 13.58 percent and annual inflation was found at 36.08.

However, according to the results of the ENAG group, a private research group, it was claimed that the real inflation was 19.35  for December 2021 and 82.81 percent for the whole year.

Pensioners and many other groups will be paid by according to Turkstat figures. These new increase rates will be announced by the government today. By the way, the increases that will be given have already decayed with the price hikes made in the first hours of the new year in many basic items.

It is very clear that Turkey’s pensioners will have difficulty trying to make ends meet in particular, this year as well.
