Passenger Traffic at Antalya Airport Exceeds 39 Million

According to data from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure’s General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), Antalya Airport’s aircraft traffic reached 234,099, and passenger traffic reached 39,230,733 in 2024.

Antalya International Airport, which covers a total area of 15 million square meters and has a current capacity of 35 million, has set a historical record by surpassing its capacity with passenger traffic this year. In December 2022, a tender was held to increase the airport’s capacity to 80 million, and construction works began after the contractor was awarded the project on January 5, 2023. According to DHMİ data, passenger traffic at Antalya Airport reached 39,230,733 in 2024, marking the highest ever recorded traffic at the airport. The aircraft traffic for the year stood at 234,099. The total cargo, mail, and baggage traffic for 2024 was 487,987 tons.
Regarding the airline, passenger, and cargo statistics for December 2024, domestic passenger traffic was 441,557, while international passenger traffic reached 592,316, totaling 1,033,873 passengers served in December. The aircraft traffic in December included 3,509 domestic flights and 4,405 international flights, totaling 7,914 flights. The cargo traffic in December amounted to 11,257 tons.
