Pegasus Airlines share message on Twitter PCR testing not mandatory for tourists
Pegasus has responded to criticism regarding requirement of vaccines and mandatory PCR testing on aircraft, with reference to a circular by the Ministry of Interior, starting discussions in regards. Judging on said references, vaccination and PCR tests do not seem to be mandatory for tourists.
The practice of PCR testing on intercity journeys is continuing to be discussed. As is known, the application became mandatory on aircraft, as well. But latest announcement by Pegasus stirred up the social media. Pegasus issued a statement against critiques forwarded, regarding mandatory testing.
No obligation for tourists to have vaccination and tests on domestic flights
The announcement said; “There is no obligation for tourists to have vaccination and tests on domestic flights. Mandatory testing for non-vaccinators is only valid for Turkish citizens. This decision has been taken by The Ministry of Interior.”
According to this, tourists are not required to be vaccinated and tested for PCR, while domestic passengers must be tested if they are not vaccinated.
