An executive from Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB) has stated that as of March 27, the planes from UK have started to land at Dalaman Airport. If things keep going same, a new record to surpass the figures in 2019 numbers, may be broken.

British tourists have started their trip to Turkey since last week. Tourists note that the summer season of 2022 points to a new record to come as far as British tourists are concerned. As of March 27, the first planes from the UK began landing at Dalaman Airport.

In this context, 200 planes will arrive per week during the season. And this refers to 37 thousand British tourists a week. Reminding that 2 million 562 thousand Britons visited Turkey in 2019, which is a regular tourist season before the pandemic, tourism experts expect a new record this season.
