The number of tourists in Cappadocia has increased by 50 percent

While the number of visitors to museums and historical ruins in Cappadocia continues to increase, this number has reached 305 thousand 275, with an increase of 50 percent compared to the same period last year.

The number of entries to museums and ruins in the region in January February and March this year, has substantially increased compared to last year. According to a statement from the Nevsehir Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, 305 thousand 275 people visited said spots year with an increase of about 50 percent as compared to 197 thousand 541  visitors in the same period last year.

FIGURES WERE ALSO HIGH IN THE FIRST QUARTER

According to a report in Turkey, the number of visitors in the first quarter of the year was recorded as 94,642 at the Goreme Open-Air Museum, 93,793 at the Zelve Ruins, and 51,144 in the Kaymakli Underground City.
