Poll results from MetroPOLL : Three possible candidates open gap with Erdogan

According to the August poll by MetroPOLL Research, President Tayyip Erdogan is being overtaken in the second round by all four possible opposition candidates. With the exception of Meral Akşener, it is seen that the possible candidates have increased their votes against Erdogan compared to the previous survey period.

The general election is less than a year away. In the recent polls, the loss of votes incurred by the ruling AK Party and MHP draws attention. On the other hand, Erdogan, who received higher votes than his party in previous elections, is also seen to be falling behind in the possible opposition candidates.

In the survey realized by METROPOLL, 1717 people from 26 regions were interviewed by telephone between August 13-17. According to scenarios created in which four opposition candidates would  compete separately with Erdogan, interesting results were achieved. Meral Akşener, Ekrem Imamoğlu, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Mansur Yavaş were selected as possible candidates.

ALL FOUR CANDIDATES BEAT ERDOGAN

Based on results shared by the company, KILICDAROGLU who rose by more than 2 percentage points against Erdogan compared to the previous poll period, fell behind the two possible opposition candidates in the second round.

In this round, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yavaş beats Erdogan by a margin of 16 points. Erdogan fails to exceed 42.7 percent against the other four candidates.
