Popular holiday destinations for British tourists

According to one of the largest independent travel agency groups in the UK, the most popular destinations with the highest sales volume in 2022 have been the Canary Islands, Greece, the Balearic Islands, Turkey and Spain.

The group noted that new bookings for trips from June to September, increased by 33% compared to last week and by 12% compared to the same period in 2019. An executive of the group emphasized that the current inflation context or headlines of travel chaos are not putting off holiday-hungry Brits.

This person went on to say, ”The data tells us that although we have been really challenging for some consumers in recent weeks, Brits still want to travel and are determined to book.”
