A new era in identity cards: New practice starts in 50 cities on January 10

The process of uploading e-Signatures to Turkish identity cards, which is the 2nd step of the ‘Life is Easy with your ID’ project implemented by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on September 21, 2020, will begin tomorrow in 50 provinces.

According to a statement from the Ministry; “Life is easy with the ID card”, which is the second step of the project e-signature, will begin at population directorates in 50 cities as follows: Adana, Adıyaman, Afyonkarahisar, Ağrı, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Batman, Bursa, Çanakkale, Çorum, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Edirne, Elazığ, Erzurum, Erzincan, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Isparta, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kars, Kastamonu, Kocaeli, Konya, Kutahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Antalya, Army, Osmaniye, Rize, Sakarya, Samsun, Siirt, Sanliurfa, Turkey Tokat, Turkey Trabzon, Van,

In a short time, e-Signature uploading operations will be able to be performed in population directorates, land registry directorates and banks throughout the country. With the application, citizens will have the opportunity to use the new generation ID card as a driver’s license, as well as use it as an e-Signature.
