President Erdoğan: Ramadan holiday extended to 9 days

President Erdoğan announced that public sector employees would be considered on administrative leave for 1.5 days, extending the holiday to 9 days for them.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with driver tradesmen for iftar at ATO Congresium. President Erdoğan announced at the end of his speech that the holiday had been extended to 9 days.

The President also said the following at the meeting:

“We have completed the construction of earthquake housing and village homes by AFAD. The number of earthquake houses we have delivered has exceeded 76 thousand. Then we participated in the opening ceremony of the new metro. Afterwards, we had a mass opening ceremony in Mamak. We opened 62 works and projects for service. I wish the investments to be beneficial for our country.”

The holiday has been extended to 9 days.

“I would like to inform the public that our public sector employees will be considered on administrative leave for 1.5 days during the holiday starting on April 10th. By adding Tuesday’s half-day and Monday to the holiday, we have provided a 9-day period. We know that our private sector also has a similar approach.”
