Today’s weather forecast, as provided by the Meteorology General Directorate (MGM), predicts rain and snowfall in many parts of Turkey. Here’s a summary of the forecast. General Outlook: Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies across Turkey. Rainfall is anticipated in various regions including Marmara (excluding Edirne and Kırklareli), Aegean, Mediterranean, Inner Anatolia, Western and Central Black Sea, inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, and Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. Some areas may experience a mix of rain and snow.

Temperature: A decrease of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius is expected in Inner Anatolia and Central Black Sea, while the southern parts of Marmara may see an increase of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. Other regions are not expected to have significant temperature changes.

Wind: Generally, light to moderate winds are expected from the north and east directions in most areas. However, strong winds (40-60 km/hour) are forecasted in the western parts of Marmara and the coastal areas of the Aegean.

Strong Wind Warning: Strong winds are expected in the western parts of Marmara and the coastal areas of the Aegean. People are advised to be cautious.

Avalanche Warning: There’s a risk of avalanches in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia.

AKDENIZ (MEDITERRANEAN): Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected across the region. Heavy rainfall is expected in areas like Adana, Osmaniye, and Hatay.

ANTALYA °C, 20°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with showers expected in the afternoon and evening.

İÇ ANADOLU (INNER ANATOLIA): Partly to mostly cloudy with rain and showers expected in the northern parts, while the southern parts will experience rain and showers.

ANKARA °C, 14°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with rain and showers expected in the afternoon, turning into sleet and snow in the evening and night.

BATI KARADENİZ (WESTERN BLACK SEA): Partly to mostly cloudy with rain and showers expected across the region. Higher elevations may experience mixed rain and snow.

ORTA ve DOĞU KARADENİZ (CENTRAL AND EASTERN BLACK SEA): Partly to mostly cloudy with rain expected across the region. In higher elevations, expect mixed rain and snow. Avalanche risk exists in the inner parts.

DOĞU ANADOLU (EASTERN ANATOLIA): Partly to mostly cloudy with rain expected across the region. Snowfall is expected in the northern and eastern parts until the evening. Freezing and icy conditions are forecasted in the morning and night. Avalanche risk exists in areas with steep slopes and heavy snow cover.

KARS °C, 3°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with sleet and snow showers expected in the morning.
VAN °C, 5°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with sleet and snow showers expected in the morning, becoming heavy until the evening in the northern parts.

GÜNEYDOĞU ANADOLU (SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA): Partly to mostly cloudy with rain expected across the region. Heavy rainfall is expected in some areas, especially in Diyarbakır, Batman, Siirt, and Şırnak.

DİYARBAKIR °C, 16°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with intermittent rain and showers expected from the afternoon, with heavy rainfall expected in the northeast.
GAZİANTEP °C, 16°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with intermittent rain and showers expected from the afternoon.
ŞANLIURFA °C, 18°C: Partly to mostly cloudy with intermittent rain and showers expected from the afternoon.
