President Erdoğan shares Turkey’s 5-year roadmap with five main axes

The 12th Development Program, which will serve as an economic roadmap, has been presented to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, while sharing details about the 12th Development Plan, said, ‘With the 2053 vision, we have completed our 12th Development Plan, which outlines Turkey’s roadmap for the next 5 years.’

Prepared by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, the 12th Development Plan covers the years 2024-2028. The 12th Development Plan, defined as a comprehensive roadmap that will activate Turkey’s potential in the 100th year of the Republic, enabling sustainable and inclusive growth, was described in 983 articles.

“IT CONSISTS OF 5 MAIN AXES”

President Erdoğan, who stated that the 5-year development plan was composed of 5 main axes, made the following statements:

‘We have completed our 12th Development Plan, which outlines Turkey’s roadmap for the next 5 years with the 2053 vision.’

‘We are presenting our 12th Development Plan, which we prepared with the contributions of non-governmental organizations, professional organizations, and the business world, for the approval of our Parliament today.’

Our 5-year development plan consists of 5 main axes.

1- Qualified individuals, strong families, and a healthy society.
2- Stable growth and a strong economy.
3- Competitive production with green and digital transformation.
4- Resilient living areas against disasters, a sustainable environment.
5- Democratic good governance based on justice.

During the 12th Development Plan period;

We aim for an average of 5% stable and balanced growth. By 2028, we aim to reach a national income of 1 trillion 589 billion dollars and a per capita income of 17,554 dollars.

We anticipate reducing unemployment to 7.5% by achieving an average annual employment increase of 3%. We aim to permanently reduce inflation to single-digit figures and lower it to 4.7% by the end of 2028.

We aim to increase commodity exports to 375 billion dollars, raise tourism revenues to the level of 100 billion dollars, and reduce the current account deficit to a level close to zero.

I wish success to the 12th Development Plan, which will guide our state and our nation on the road to the Turkish Century.
