President Erdogan will announce his decision on election date at 14.00 today
Details on the calendar of presidential and parliamentary elections have begun to become clear. President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan will announce his decision regarding the election date at the Palace today.
Erdogan will make a statement at 14.00 and sign the decision on the renewal of the election.
Erdogan, in a statement earlier had said, “We will officially exercise our authority on March 10, and after that there is a period of 60 days. The Supreme Election Board will evaluate that period as well.”
After Erdogan’s decision, the Supreme Election Board will convene today or tomorrow and make a decision to hold the elections on May 14. The YSK will reconvene next week and announce the election calendar.
