PTT OF TURKEY INCURS GREAT LOSS

PTT (Post Telegraph Telephone Authority) whose balance was impaired after being transferred to the WEALTH FUND of Turkey became one of the most damaged  institutions among state-run enterprises. The last two-year loss was TL 1 billion 959 million.

PTT became one of the institutions among state run enterprises after its transfer to the Wealth Fund. The general manager of the establishment that made a profit of TL 216 million in 2018, announced a loss of TL 1 billion 218 million in 2019 and TL 741 million in 2020. The two-year loss was 1 billion 959 million pounds.

Regarding the issue a deputy from Good Party said, “How does PTT incur such loss during pandemic period, when cargo companies can’t keep up with work?”

A CHP deputy who spoke at the commission meeting said, “PTT is at the center of corruption, irregularities, public harm. None of PTT’s subsidiaries were included in the inspection program in 2018 and 2019 and this led to audit weakness.”
