PUTIN AND ERDOGAN TALK OVER PHONE

Russian President Putin and President Erdogan have had a phone conversation. During the meeting, developments between Azerbaijan and Armenia and regional issues, especially Syria, Libya and Ukraine, were also discussed. During the meeting, which took place at the request of Turkey, it was stated that Putin conveyed to Erdogan the information that “Ukraine was taking provocative actions with Turkish-made SIHAS” (armed unmanned aerial vehicle).

According to the statement from Kremlin, Putin and Erdogan noted that it was important to comply with the Minsk agreements and other agreements on Donbass, including those in the Normandy format.

Noting that the meeting was held on the initiative of the Turkish side, the Kremlin said: “Putin has pointed out that Kiev continues to pursue a destructive line towards the breakdown of the Minsk agreements. The provocative actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conflict zone, including the use of armed unmanned aerial vehicles of the Bayraktar brand, confirm this. It is underlined that Kiev should abandon its attempts to intervene in Donbass through force.”

PUTIN PROVIDED INFORMATION ABOUT THE MEETING IN SOCHI

Putin updated Erdogan on his talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pasinyan in Sochi on 26 November at the request of Erdogan. Putin stated that Baku and Yerevan were ready to cooperate in order to ensure stability in the region and determining the borders between the two countries and noted that it was important to have mechanisms boots ready to create.
