Putin: The Risk of World War III Is Increasing

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed concern over the possibility of a third world war, stating: “I am concerned about this; the likelihood is increasing. When we consider the developments in Ukraine and the Middle East and the potential risks involved.”

Putin shared his assessments regarding the ongoing wars in Ukraine and between Israel and Iran.

He stated that he believes a solution can be found to the conflicts between the two countries and added that Russia is in daily contact with Iran.

Putin noted that Russia is maintaining communication with both Israel and Iran:
“We have some proposals. We believe the issue can be resolved through diplomatic means,” he said.

Regarding the alleged assassination plot against Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Russian leader commented:
“I hope this threat remains just rhetoric.”

“Where Russian Soldiers Set Foot Is Ours”

Putin also spoke about Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine.

“I believe the Russian and Ukrainian peoples are one and the same. In this context, the entirety of Ukraine belongs to us. Wherever a Russian soldier sets foot is ours,” he claimed.

He added that Russia has never questioned Ukraine’s sovereign rights.

On the risk of a global war, Putin said:
“I am concerned about this; the likelihood is increasing. Considering the developments in Ukraine and the Middle East and the possible risks, we cannot ignore it.”
