Reminder dose warning from Minister Koca

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said that the effect of the COVID-19 vaccine decreased when 6 months passed since the last dose, adding, “If this period has expired, it is important to be re-vaccinated.”

Minister Koca stated that the cases related to the omicron variant had increased.

Minister Koca shared following:

“Tomorrow is Sacrifice Holiday. We are entering the feast in a bitter situation. The murder committed on Wednesday at the Konya City Hospital has caused deep sadness. Ekrem Karakaya, a rare son of our hometown, a cardiovascular doctor, was cut off from life by murderous means. Yesterday I was in Kayseri, his hometown, to attend the funeral ceremony. Everyone who knows him testifies that he was an exemplary physician, sincerely connected to his people, humble and devoted to his patients.

But there is one point that should be noted. The ruthless murder suspect is the son of a patient of Dr. Ekrem and based on the information we have it is understood that he held the doctor responsible for the death of the patient.

Such attitudes, which can lead to murder, are completely wrong; as in the case, they are inhuman. The physician can only do what is necessary and at his best medically, the result is not under the absolute will of anyone.

Our fight against the problem of violence in health has been going on for a long time. The Law on Violence against Health, which was published on May 12, put these crimes where there will be no forgiveness. We will also give our test against terrorism together for violence in health. The will of the state is with us with all its might.
