INCREASE IN RENTS IN TURKEY

With inflation coming in at 73.5 percent in May, the hike in rents was 39.33 percent. The rent increase of a citizen who paid 2 thousand TL of rent was 2,786.6 pounds (new rent).

With the announcement of inflation in May, the rate of increase in rents this month has become clear.

According to the data released by TURKSTAT, consumer prices increased by 2.98 percent month-on-month in May, while annual inflation increased from 69.97 percent to 73.50 percent.

The rental growth rate, which was determined based on the twelve-month average of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was determined as 39.33 percent for the month of June.
