Rents skyrocket in coastal areas such as Bodrum, Kas and Antalya
It is noted that there has been a large increase in both regular apartment and villa rents in the summer holiday areas. Especially the prices in Kas and Bodrum attract attention. It is observed that there is a high demand in rental market in coastal areas for the summer season, pulling monthly rents up to 250 thousand dollars in ultra-luxury villas.
RENTS IN BODRUM START FROM 30-35 THOUSAND TURKISH LIRAS
According to Turkish media, the owner of a real estate consulting company in Bodrum has said “The rental price varies depending on the district, proximity to the sea, and the characteristics of the house. On average, we see that the monthly figures start from 30-35 thousand liras and go up to 175-200 thousand liras. In luxury manors, the figures also reach a million.”
It is also reported that the rising prices have put the people of the region in a difficult position and civil servants for instance have had to move to remote areas of the city.
A real-estate professional in the same region, has said that 35-40 thousand liras are requested this year for houses, which had a monthly rental price of 20 thousand last year. This person also said in the past years, the monthly figures of 3 thousand to 5 thousand liras (for annual renting) were talked about in same area whereas now it is difficult to find an annual rental. In case there are some available, a monthly fee of 10 thousand liras come into question.
250 THOUSAND EUROS PER MONTH
In luxury sites in Bodrum, millions are discussed . So much so that, it is possible to buy a house in Istanbul with the budget allocated for a month’s rental here. Another expert says in high season which is July and August, the monthly rental price ultra-luxury villas ranges from 100 thousand to 250 thousand euros.
The monthly price of non-attached houses in Cesme and Alacati range from 70-150 thousand TL, while in Kaş, the daily rent of villas range from 4-15 thousand TL.
HIGH DEMAND IN ANTALYA DUE TO RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR
In Antalya, where there is an intense rental demand due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, it is reported stated that rents have increased by 100 percent. it is stated that even the rent of 1 + 1 apartments goes up to 5 thousand liras, while the normal apartment rent reaches 15-20 thousand TL per month.
It is noted that rents have increased by 271 percent in Antalya and Muğla in the last year.
