“Republic Day ball” was organized in London for the 100th anniversary

BALL IN LONDON

The 100th anniversary of the Republic was celebrated with a ball held at the Natural History Museum in London.

The event, organized by Atölye Grup, was held in collaboration with the Turkish Education Foundation in the UK, Galatasaray Education Foundation, and the Boğaziçi University Alumni Association. The ball was attended by London Ambassador Osman Koray Ertaş, former British Ambassador to Ankara Peter Westmacott, Turkey’s London Consul General Bekir Utku Atahan, and numerous other guests.

Karsu performed on the stage, and the ball was hosted by Ebru Akel and Murat Güloğlu.

In addition, jerseys signed by two Galatasaray and one Beşiktaş football players, as well as jerseys signed by members of the National Women’s Volleyball Team, were auctioned off. An artwork by architect Rıfat Baltaoğlu, depicting the life of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on a Republic gold coin, was also put up for auction. All the proceeds from the evening will be used to provide scholarships to 100 students.
