Russia also opposes Marash decision: We do not support unilateral actions
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mariya Zaharova spoke at a press conference about the status of the closed Marash.
Zaharova responded to questions about the status of the closed Marash. Zaharova explained that they did not support a unilateral change in the status of the region, and added: We find all unilateral actions that make it difficult to restart negotiations unacceptable.
She went on to say, “We are closely monitoring developments in the Cyprus issue and the situation related to the closed Marash region. It cannot be expected that a change in the status of the region will not cause concern.”
“ALL UNACCEPTABLE”
We find all unilateral actions that are contrary to United Nations Security Council resolutions and make it difficult to restart negotiations, unacceptable.
