Red alert in Marmara region: Many beaches banned from being used

Due to the adverse weather conditions, which are especially effective in the Marmara region, it was forbidden to go to sea at some beaches. Authorities warned citizens on the beaches not to enter the sea, while district prefects made consecutive bans. However, search and rescue efforts were also underway for citizens lost at sea in various regions.

As the weather warmed, citizens flocked to the beaches. But bitter news came from some beaches. Adverse weather conditions, which were effective in the Marmara region yesterday, made the seas more dangerous. After that, the district prefect also repeatedly decommissioned the sea.

2 people drowned in the sea in ŞILE, while 3 people disappeared. Because the weather was windy and the sea was choppy, it was forbidden to enter the sea from the morning hours. But some of the citizens continued to swim, ignoring the ban and all warnings.
