Russia is sending $20 billion to Turkey for Akkuyu Power Plant

Some officials speaking to Bloomberg said that Russia would send $ 15 billion to Turkey in three weeks to invest in the Akkuyu nuclear power plant. Rosatom will use part of the incoming money for paying due payments, and keep the rest in Turkey for two years.

A surprise money traffic is due to take place between Russia and Turkey at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) as the foundation of fourth and final reactor was laid last week.

A GESTURE FROM PUTIN TO ERDOGAN

According to senior officials, the negotiations conducted under the coordination of Turkey’s Finance Minister were finalized in the discussion between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

One of the officials testified that Putin took part in the process to make a gesture to Erdogan because of his role as a mediator in the grain corridor.

$15 BILLION IN THREE WEEKS

According to other officials, $ 5 billion of the money in question reached Turkey last week. The second part of $ 5 billion is also expected to arrive by the end of this week.
