Russian demand triples rents in coastal cities in Turkey

After the start of the military operation in Ukraine, the demand of Russians for rented housing in Antalya and Alanya has increased by about four times. According to some real-estate companie rents that were previously around 200-600 dollars increased by 2-3 times in some studio apartments in Istanbul, Izmir, Bodrum and Fethiye to 1000, 1500 dollars per month.

On the other hand, it is noted that it has become difficult to find a rented apartment due to a shortage of supply, and some landlords are demanding a six-month down payment.

According to a report on media, rents have increased 1.5 times in Armenia and Georgia, which are preferred by Russian citizens, for example, in Tbilisi, the lowest monthly rents have increased by 30-50 percent compared to February to 450-500 dollars.
