Russian President Putin arrives in Ankara to conduct important negotiations with Erdogan

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Ankara on Friday, September 28, for key negotiations on the latest developments in Iraq and Syria and bilateral relations with President Erdogan. Putin and Erdoğan are scheduled to hold a press conference after a face-to-face meeting in the presidential palace in Ankara.

Among the most important topics the two presidents will discuss are establishment of de-escalation zones in Syria, the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Government’s (KRG) independence referendum, Idlib and fight against the Iraqi Islamic State in Syria.
