Scary statement from President Putin: Our most important task is to increase our nuclear power

At his meeting with young officers at the Kremlin Palace Russian leader Putin said “Our most important task is the development of our nuclear power, which is the basic guarantee of Russia’s security and global stability.”

“Russia’s nuclear forces make it possible to effectively and reliably provide strategic deterrence and maintain the global balance of power” Russian President Vladimir Putin said, adding that they considered the development of Russia’s nuclear power to be the most important task.

Putin met with young officers who graduated from different military schools at the Kremlin Palace. Congratulating the officers, Putin gave information about the work being done to strengthen the army. Putin stressed that the strengthening of the army and the security of the country had always been priorities, and this would continue to be the case.

NEW MISSILE SYSTEMS

Stressing that they would continue to develop the army comprehensively taking into account the new challenges and the experience of the “special military operation” they were conducting in Ukraine, Putin said:: “Our most important task is the development of our nuclear power, which is the basic guarantee of Russia’s security and global stability. About half of our missile troops have been equipped with the latest Yars systems. Our army is being rearmed with modern missile systems with Avangard hypersonic warhead. In the near future, Sarmat launchers designed for new heavy missiles will take on combat duty.”

Putin also said, “Russia’s nuclear forces make it possible to effectively and reliably provide strategic deterrence and maintain the global balance of power” noting that the aviation and naval components of the nuclear forces had also been renewed, adding “Russia’s nuclear forces make it possible to maintain the global balance of power effectively and reliably.”
