Should Turkey expect to experience a much stronger new epidemic wave?

We can see news on the media saying daily cases have already exceeded 14 thousand before the end of the holiday.

We know that about 10 million people were displaced during the holiday period and went to various points of the country and especially to holiday destinations.

Bodrum, Antalya and Alanya are the most prominent and important among said destinations. We also know that there are many tourists coming to these regions, and a significant part of them have come from Russia, where the pandemic is intense.

Therefore, we believe it would be wise to be ready for an intense case explosion following the holiday and not much later than a few weeks. We hope this explanation would not be considered as scaremongering in the least and hope this projection will not come true. The reality however is the available data clearly points to an undesired experience to come once again.

So much so that the new wave appearing on the horizon can surpass all that has happened so far, and the troubles can be much greater. It is useful to be prepared for this and take precautions accordingly. Therefore let us be very careful to keep the distance and comply with mask regulation and avoid crowds.
