SIGACIK (Seferihisar) – Pictures from Teos Marina
SIGACIK is a neighborhood in Seferihisar (first cittaslow of Turkey). It has been a very popular holiday resort for the last decade or so (since 2000 probably). The place is getting more populated each year with those moving from Istanbul and Ankara mainly.
Sığacık provides many facilities in its modern marina called TEOS MARINA with sufficient capacity. Teos MARINA offers towing services to boats with a maximum width of 7.25 cm with a 75-ton travellift at the towing site, where all kinds of maintenance and repair services are provided. In the open-concept bazaar section of the marina, where there are many shops, there are dining and drinking units such as cafes and restaurants, entertainment venues, boutiques, cosmetic stores such as shopping venues

Historical TEOS ruins are located here. The fortress from the Ottoman Empire time is also worth seeing. The fortress with many unique houses aare give shelter to many locals as well as newcomers from other major cities. Some of those houses are converted into boutique hotels providing a comfortable ambiance to guests.
As for swimming, although SIGACIK is by the sea, people do not prefer to swim here and they rather go to AKKUM Beach for this purpose. On the other hand EKMEKSIZ beach is one-of-a-kind for swimming with cyrstal clear water.
