SGK (Social Security Administration) has ended the practice of some private hospitals imposing limits on the provision of services to patients. The Social Security Institution has imposed the requirement that hospitals accept patients in all branches instead of a partial patient acceptance agreement in partial branches, in some hospitals.

In a statement, the SGK shared that it had abolished the practice of imposing limits on the provision of services by some hospitals to patients which was in effect with the “Agreement on the Purchase of Medical Services from Private Health Care Providers” published on May 27.

The statement shared by SGK following was noted:

“In hospitals with partial branch agreements, only the treatments offered in the branches of cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, tissue organ transplantation, emergency and hyperbaric oxygen therapy were covered by the SSI, until this time.”
