Some facts about 1915 CANAKKALE Bridge to be put into operation in March 2022

The toll to be paid for the 1915 Canakkale Bridge, where the groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 18, is going to be 15 euros + VAT (80 TL at today’s rates). The daily vehicle crossing guarantee for the bridge was set at 30,000, according to the Sabah newspaper. According to the article in Hurriyet, the transit guarantee was 45,000 vehicles.

On the other hand, based on an interview with the top official of the contractor company the guaranteed number of crossings by the state is 45,000 vehicles daily. The bridge is said to create an economy of USD 16 billion according to some experts.

Regarding the issue a high ranking official of the group building the bridge said;  The toll will be 15 euros plus VAT for cars. A state guarantee was provided for the crossing of 45 thousand vehicles per day (regardless of whether this number is realized or not !!! and for 16 + years !!!)

When asked “when would the figure of 45 thousand daily vehicle crossings could be reached?”, the following responses were received: “It may take some time …  It may not take too long…”
