Southwind Airlines, based in Antalya, has received the airline operating license from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and is set to begin flights in August. A fleet of 4 aircraft and a crew of 30 people have been put together, and flights will be made to Germany, Great Britain, France, Russia, the Nordic countries and Israel according to the statement made by the company.

Southwind’s statement reads:

“Southwind Airlines, which is under the umbrella of Cortex Aviation, will start its first flights in August with 4 aircraft it owns and about 300 staff.

Our work to start operation was completed with the “Airline Operating License” that we received from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation as of July 27, 2022 after the inspections. We will start our activities next month and carry out our scheduled and charter flights.

Southwind Airlines is based in Antalya and will continue its operations with a total of 4 aircraft, including 2 wide-body Airbus A330 and 2 narrow-body Airbus A321 in the first place.

By combining our vision and mission with our global, young and dynamic perspective in order to take an important position in Turkey and global civil aviation, we are actively working to carry the flag of our country in the skies along the lines of Germany, Great Britain, France, Russia, Scandinavian countries and Israel. We aim to increase the number of tourists who will visit our country by cooperating with tour operators in these countries and focusing on charter flights to contribute to Turkish tourism by evaluating today’s dynamics.

We plan to contribute to our country by reviewing our connections in various countries before and after the season and by operating flights in the Middle East and between Saudi Arabia and Turkey on Hajj and Umrah lines. In a short time, we have created a family of about 300 people that we employ from Turkey and abroad on the way out with these goals and mission.

We aim to increase the number of our guests that we will carry to our country by expanding our family and fleet in a very short time on this exciting path that we have started. We have the necessary energy, experience, faith and staff for this.”
