Statement from BOZDAG, Turkey’s Minister of Justice about ‘Cemal Khashoggi’ case
Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag has made a statement about the transfer of the case related to the murder of Jamal Khashoggi to Saudi Arabia.
Bozdag said, “In the case known as the Cemal Khashoggi case, the court’s decision to stop and transfer the trial is in accordance with the law. It is not a transfer of jurisdiction, it is not a drop of the case. Although they know this truth, the statement of some politicians otherwise is a political, calculated distortion of interpretation.”
BRUTALLY MURDERED IN SAUDI ARABIA CONSULATE
Jamal Khashoggi, a citizen of Saudi Arabia and a prominent journalist, had been brutally murdered in the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul. Many sources had claimed that the prince of Saudi Arabia had instructed said murder.
Turkey’s President had said Turkey would do everything to ensure justice prevailed and refused to hand over the file to Saudi Arabia, at the time.
