House sales in Turkey increase by 20.6 percent in March

House sales in Turkey increased by 20.6 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 134,170.

Istanbul had the highest share of house sales with 23,974 units and 17.9 percent. According to the sales numbers, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 12,609 units and a 9.4 percent share, Izmir with 8,051 units and a 6.0 percent share.

The provinces with the least number of house sales were Ardahan with 25 houses, Bayburt with 82 houses and Tunceli with 103 houses, respectively.

During the period of January-March, house sales amounted to 320 thousand 63, which is an increase of 21.7 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
