Some CAATSA sanctions USA has decided to implement against Turkey come into force

The sanctions the United States applies against its adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) have entered into force to be implemented against Turkey also due to “established relations with Russia”.The sanctions which will be imposed on officials of four i nstitutions, include the Defense Industry presidency (SSB) and the head of the Defense Industry, Ismail Demir.

People and institutions sanctioned, according to a statement from the US State Department are as follows:

SSB (Defence Industry Presidency)
The head of the Defense Industry, Ismail Demir.
SSB Vice President Faruk Yiğit,
Head of air defense and Space Department Serhat Gençoğlu
SSB Air Defense and Space Department Group Director Mustafa Alper Deniz

The statement said the notice would be officially released on April 7.

The SSB will not be able to obtain an export license from the United States under sanctions, nor will it be able to benefit from loans from the United States and its associated international financial institutions.

If there are people on the sanctions list, their assets in the United States will be frozen and visa restrictions will be imposed on them.
