Statement from Iranian Chief of Staff General Bagheri on the underground tunnels in Gaza

Iran’s Chief of Staff General Mohammad Bagheri has made a statement about the underground tunnels in Gaza.

He mentioned that it’s possible to travel by car inside these tunnels. Bagheri stated that Hamas had constructed tunnels in the Gaza Strip that were longer than 400 kilometers. He also pointed out that Hamas members sometimes used cars or motorcycles within these tunnels.

Bagheri clarified that one end of the tunnels was located behind the barbed wire fences between Gaza and Israel, while the other end was within the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Bagheri attributed Hamas fighters’ resilience to their attention to passive defense measures.

Bagheri also mentioned that Iran’s proposed referendum was the only fair peace proposal for resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict.
