In Ağrı, the rain is expected to be locally intense.
Hot, Hot, Hot: Temperatures Above Seasonal Norms
Across the board, temperatures continue to hover above seasonal averages. From the sizzling coastal cities to the high-altitude interiors, it’s another day of blazing sunshine. İzmir and Antalya are both hitting 41–42°C, while even inland cities like Konya and Eskişehir are reaching the mid-30s. The southeastern region is sweltering, with Diyarbakır and Siirt soaring to a scorching 46°C and 44°C respectively.

There’s also a significant wind advisory in place. Strong northern winds, ranging from 30 to 60 km/h, are expected to blow through several areas.

The Aegean continues its heatwave, with Denizli and Manisa both reaching 41–42°C. Northern and coastal winds will pick up speed, so expect some relief there.
In the Mediterranean, clear skies dominate, but watch out for those gusty inland winds. Adana and Antalya are among the hottest spots in the country today.

If you’re heading to Muğla or Antalya today, expect peak summer conditions—but with a few cautions. Both cities are basking under cloudless skies, with Antalya soaring to 42°C and Muğla hovering just behind, often flirting with the high 30s. Coastal winds might offer a brief breeze in some areas, but inland parts will feel especially sweltering. UV levels are high, so if you’re enjoying the beaches or planning any outdoor activity, make sure to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take shade breaks when you can. While the weather is ideal for a swim, it’s not so forgiving if you’re spending too long in direct sun.
Interior Anatolia remains sunny and hot, though strong northerly winds are sweeping through southern and eastern parts of the region. Ankara is sitting at a warm 35°C.
Black Sea coastal cities like Trabzon and Rize are seeing local showers, particularly in the mountainous inland areas. If you’re near Samsun or Ordu, keep an eye on the sky, especially in the morning hours.
Over in Eastern Anatolia, the north and northeast will be cloudy with scattered storms. The area around Ağrı, in particular, is under a strong rainfall warning. Temperatures are slightly cooler here but still summer-like.
Finally, Southeastern Anatolia is clear and extremely hot. Gaziantep is forecasted to reach 44°C, with very low humidity and virtually no cloud cover.
