Temperature to drop by 8 degrees! Rainfall warning for 19 provinces

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a rainfall warning for 19 provinces, including Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. It is reported that the air temperature will decrease by 4 to 8 degrees in the western parts.

According to a recent assessment by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is forecasted that the Mediterranean, central Anatolia, eastern Anatolia, west of the Southeast Anatolia, the northern part of Kırklareli, the northern districts of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, eastern part of Canakkale, the north part of Balıkesir, Izmir, Mugla, Denizli, Düzce, Mardin will see rainfall.

SNOW IS EXPECTED IN HIGH AREAS

Rain showers and  thunderstorms will be seen in the Mediterranean coastal areas, sleet and snow in the higher parts of Sivas, Erzincan and Tunceli and Bingöl. Strong rainfall is expected in the area to the east of Antalya, in southern Adana and Hatay this evening.

NOTICEABLE DROP IN AIR TEMPERATURE

It is estimated that the air temperature will decrease by 4 to 8 degrees in the western parts, there will be no significant changes in other places and it will hover around seasonal norms throughout the country.

WARNING OF HEAVY RAINFALL

Since the rains are expected to be strong in the south of Adana and Hatay and in the eastern districts of Antalya this evening, a warning has been issued to be careful and cautious about the possible negativities.

DENIZLI 11°C, 21°C – Partly cloudy and very cloudy with showers and thunderstorms this evening.

IZMIR 15°C, 23°C – Partly cloudy and very cloudy with showers and thunderstorms this evening.

MUGLA 8°C, 20°C – Fragmentary and very cloudy, with intermittent showers and thundery downpours

ADANA 13°C, 24°C – Partly cloudy and very cloudy, intermittent showers and thunderstorms are predicted from the night hours. The rains are expected to be strong in the southern parts tomorrow.

ANTALYA 17°C, 20°C – It is forecast to be partly and very cloudy, with intermittent showers and thunderstorms. The rains are expected to be strong in the eastern districts this evening.

HATAY 13°C, 21°C – Partly cloudy and very cloudy, intermittent showers and thunderstorms are predicted to pass from the night hours. The rains are expected to be heavy tomorrow.
