ISTANBUL FILM FESTIVAL

The 43rd Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), will take place from April 17 to 28, meeting cinema enthusiasts. The festival offers a rich program consisting of 132 feature-length and 12 short films, including the newest examples of world cinema, cult classics, films by master directors, and works from young talents.

Throughout the 12 days of the festival, alongside film screenings, there will be discussions with guest directors and actors, special screenings, and events. One of the biggest surprises of the festival will be the presence of Wim Wenders, one of the leading directors of world cinema, as the guest of honor.

Japanese actor Koji Yakusho, who won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival last year, will also participate in the festival. This year’s Honorary Awards of the festival will be presented to Meral Orhonsay and Engin Ayça.

Festival tickets will go on sale to IKSV Lale Card members on April 1st, Monday, following a discounted pre-sale period, and will be available to the general public starting from April 5th, Friday.
