The Central Bank has published the monetary and exchange rate policy text for the year 2022. Stating that it will prioritize the mechanisms supporting the development of TL deposits, the bank announced that it will also reduce the amount of swaps.

The Central Bank (CBRT) has published the Monetary and Exchange Rate Policy text for 2022. Tthe bank, which is preparing to close 2021 with official consumer inflation of close to 30 percent, maintained its medium-term inflation target of 5 percent and said, “Monetary policy will be formed in such a way as to gradually bring inflation closer to this goal.”
