The Scientific Board of Turkey meets to discuss Omicron

Coronavirus Scientific Council, chaired by Minister of Health Koca will convene by video conferencing at 17 o’clock. A written statement will be released after the meeting. The number of cases continues to increase rapidly after the Omicron variant, which was first seen in Turkey on December 12.

According to coronavirus table data for December 28 by the Ministry of Health 32 thousand 176 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours, while 184 people lost their lives. The number of cases, which was 30,862 on October 19 and had been 20,000 or more until the previous day, increased to over 30,000 for the first time.

Sharing from his social media account, Koca said, “It was a serious success to reduce the number of cases to 20 thousand. Due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, it seems that it has now entered an upward trend. We are in a period that requires caution, reminder doses as soon as possible. You can be sure that WE WILL SUCCEED AGAIN.”
